Rajasthan is one of the largest state by area in northern India which covers an area of 342,239 sq. km. It is so huge that it is not only famous for its desert, but also for its beautiful hill station, the huge wildlife and lush green mountains of Aravalli range during Monsoon.
Udaipur is a place in Rajasthan, where you will find the royalty and architecture at its best. We will pick you up from the railway station, bus stand or Airport as per your convenience and then we will drop you at a good hotel. Do the check-in formalities, rest for a while and then leave to explore the local markets, meet local peoples and enjoy local food on the streets of the beautiful “City of lakes”, Udaipur. The lovely Aravalli range separates Udaipur from the Thar desert. The surrounding green hills of Aravalli range are an add on to the scenic beauty of Udaipur and you will get a feel of hill station here.
Day 2Day tour to Udaipur
After breakfast in hotel you will start your day tour of Udaipur from the incredible City Palace. Situated on the east bank of Lake Pichola, best example of the extraordinary architecture of palaces in Rajasthan, largest in its type, it depicts the blend of Rajasthani & Mughal style. You will get sufficient time to enjoy and lost in its beauty, so don’t forget to enjoy the lovely artefacts kept in its museum. After that enjoy the boat ride and the beautiful sunset from Lake Pichola. You will get a better view of Mewar’s culture and lifestyle in Bagore Ki Haveli. You can also visit the beautiful Fateh Sagar Lake, it is another famous lake out of the four famous lakes in Udaipur. Saheliyon ki bari, a beautiful garden with full of greenery that too in a desert is worth admiring. End your day with some shopping and buying souvenirs for your friends and family from Shilpgram, it’s a traditional centre for arts and handicraft.
Day 3Udaipur to Mount Abu (2 hours, 50 minutes, 163.2 km)
Check out from the hotel after having breakfast and then we will drive towards Mount Abu, the only hill station located in Aravalli range of Rajasthan. It will take you around 3hrs to reach, enjoy your ride through the beautiful mountains. Renowned for its romantic natural surroundings, known as “an oasis in desert” with many beautiful rivers, lakes and waterfalls, a perfect escape from the desert. We will start with Dilwara Temples a famous Jain temple, it’s a group of five temples, built using white marbles and are devoted to Jain Tirthankara, it was built during 11th and 13th century. Then we will move towards Nakki Lake, one of the most famous attraction in Mount Abu situated in the backdrop of Aravalli. The only artificial lake in India. You can also enjoy boating and rock climbing here. You can also visit Guru Shikhar, the highest mountain peak situated at 1,722 m above sea level. Best site to get the aerial view of the city and enjoy trekking. The ancient Guru Dattatreya Temple is situated at this peak. Apart from these beautiful sites you can enjoy the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary and end your day with the beautiful view of sunset from Sunset point. Rest of the evening at hotel.
Day 4Mount Abu to Jodhpur
Check out from the hotel in Mount Abu and start another 5 hrs (approx.) journey towards next destination, Jodhpur. The blue city of Rajasthan, it is known as “Blue City” because the houses are painted in a uniform shade of blue colour, in past it was believed to be a symbol to distinguish the houses occupied by upper caste Brahmins. Once you reach, do the check in formalities and just wander around the streets, meet locals, try local food, enjoy local shopping and get to know the real culture of Rajasthan which can be found in these streets only.
Day 5Day tour to Jodhpur
Time for the sightseeing of the lovely “blue city”. We will start once you are done with the breakfast in hotel. We will take you to the major attraction of Jodhpur, the royal Mehrangarh Fort, pride of the city was built around 1460, it’s one of the largest forts in India. It is built on 125 m high hill in the outskirts of Jodhpur city and spread over an area of 5 km. There are several palaces inside the fort known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. Every ruler has its contribution in making of this fort, you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the city from this fort. Next is Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph and one of the most splendid marble monument in Rajasthan, an example of architectural brilliance, located near Mehrangarh Fort entrance. Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, a desert rock park spread over 72 hectares, near the fort is another remarkable site. It was a wasteland transformed into a thrilling park to restore the desert ecology that once existed in the area and died out over the years. Along with these beautiful sites the local market, specially the surrounding market of the clock tower is a must to get a closer outlook of the culture.
Day 6Departure from Jodhpur
It’s the last day, time to check out from hotel and go back to your home along with the gifts and memories to share with your friends and family. We will drop you at the airport, railway station or bus stop as per your plan schedule.
