The name Udagamandalam (Ootacamund) has been simplified to Ooty. This is a beautiful hill station that had been created by the British initially. The forest covered Nilgiri Hills has remained one of the top draws for film shootings to date. It is considered to be a romantic destination with happy couples being seen in the area predominantly.
