Saru Valley

A recent addition in the list of tourism this valley is one of the most fertile and beautiful valley in the region. The valley separates Kargil from Zanskar valley. The saru river keeps the surrounding green. Once you will move forward in your journey towards another spot, you will start missing this greenery.

The valley is also known for its twin peaks Nun (7137 mtrs) and Kun (7035 mtrs). The valley becomes picturesque in spring when mulberry, apples and apricots trees are in full bloom and when the trees are full of fruits during Autumn.

The valley has a population of around 35000, the Muslims who converted to Buddhist religion in middle of 16th Century.

Best time to visit is during spring and autumn, between May to Sep.
