Drang-Drung Glacier

Drang-Drung Glacier is a mountain glacier situated at at the Kargil – Zanaskar Road near the Pensi La mountain pass. The largest glacier in Ladakh with a length of 23 Km (14 mi), situated at an elevation of 4,780 m (15,680 ft). The glacier is surrounded by two small alpine lakes and snow-covered peaks.

There are very few glaciers in the whole world, that can be access by road and the Drang-Drung Glacier in India is one of the amazing destination. For all the adventour seeker this is just an awesome location. The glacier is amazing, but the trekking to this glacier is not easy, three days of gruelling trek from Padum is required. Starting from the Leh Zanskar valley with captivating scenic beauty in the lap of nature, this three days trek will take you to the spectacular mountain ranges and stunning glaciers. A very beautiful and rare site.
