The Nathu La Pass
Touching the high boulders of the clouds due to its enormous attitude of 4309 meters, Nathu La Pass, is one of the major attractions around Sikkim. The adventurous destination is located 54 km east to Gangtok where the temperatures are always low with freezing, chilling and extravagantly mesmerizing surroundings. This pass is grazed by enormous beauty of mountains which connects Sikkim Gangtok with China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.
The view surrounding the Nathu La pass along with the snow clad mountains is going to freeze you under hard conditions are going to mark your mind with the breathtaking view and memories. The pass has an engraved stone called ‘Nehru Stone’ which rememorizes the arrival of Jawaharlal Nehru to the throwback in the year of 1958. The road connecting the counties is one of the highest motorable roads in the worlds making it a thrill amongst the adventure fanatics. However, a permit is required to visit the place which has to be obtained from Sikkim tourist Department at Gangtok. Private vehicles and taxis are prohibited from entering Nathu La Pass. You have to stroll around after parking your car to lure entirely in the place.
Remember to carry your two passport size photos and identity card as they require that for your permit.
