3. Hadimba Temple
This is an ancient temple built of rock. Located within the cedar tree forest in Manali, it is a site that sees a lot of traffic consisting of pilgrims, tourists and locals. There is no traditional idol residing within the cave temple though. A jutting rock is worshipped as the deity of the demo goddess Hadimba.
4. Old Manali
People looking for a respite from the anxiety and stress of urban life find it in Old Manali. It is a part of Manali that is way from the humdrum and a beautiful, tranquil place for the ones who do not want to join the frantic race of driving from one place to another in a hurry.
5. Manali Sanctuary
Tourists would not want to give the wildlife sanctuary of Manali a miss either. It is a small sanctuary that covers only 31.80 sq km but teems with an extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna that are hard to come by anywhere else in India. The area is very close to the Manali city center and accessible by foot.
Floating on the Beas River in a raft happens to be one of the most thrilling activities that the tourists are fond of. The swift flowing waters over boulders makes the rat tilt dangerously giving the ones atop the raft a new high! The clear waters provide a good view of the terrain underneath the river bed while the coniferous forests and mountain peaks on the sides shows nature at its best.
