Cochin – Cochin is a port city in Kerala which is located at the mouth of the seven major rivers of the state. It is the perfect place for the couples to spend their honeymoon. Cochin is well connected with major cities of India as well as internationally via Cochin International Airport. The ravishing part of the town is known as Fort Kochi, oldest town having the influence of Portuguese, Dutch and British. The mesmerising town is abundant with sights such as the St. Francis Church, the oldest church in India, old Portuguese houses, local fisherman along with their Chinese fishing nets, a Jewish Chapel dating back to 16th century and the Mattancherry palace, established by Portuguese comprising elegant murals.
Munnar – Located at a drive of 4 hours from Cochin, Munnar is the hill station in Kerala and is a prime location for Honeymoon couple to witness the sprawling tea gardens and other little hills along the western ghats. The drive will travel for 130 km within 4 hours including a stop at Cheyappara waterfalls. The less populated Munnar is mostly covered with Tata tea plantations. Sightseeing begins in the morning with visits to Eravikulam National park, Echo Point, Mattupetty, Pothamedu and tea museum, with the option of enjoying the boat ride in the lake. Thekkady – Thekkady is a paradise for nature lovers offering serenity and harmony amidst the nature. A drive through the Cardamom hills to Thekkady which is 110 km long and takes around 3.5 hours, is the best way of exploring the enchanting nature of Kerala. This drive also consist of spice plantations of Cardamom and pepper along with tea and coffee estates. You can also buy exotic and fragrant spices while going to Thekkady. People buy Spices from the local spice markets here as a form of souvenir to give away as gifts to their closed ones.
Kovalam Beach – With three adjacent beaches and bays, Kovalam beach is one of the popular beach destinations of India. One can get splendid views of the Kovalam Beach from the lighthouse which allows the tourists to get on top of the lighthouse. There are number of sea front restaurants serving the fresh catches of seafood from the sea. An enormous rocky promontory on the beach has created a ravishing bay of tranquil waters. There are plenty of leisure options at this beach such as swimming, sun-bathing, special cultural programme, Herbal body toning massage and catamaran cruising are one the many. Life on the beach starts late in the day and carries on well into the night. The beach complex consists of a string of budget cottages. Wayanad – The name Wayanad is taken from Vayal Nadu, meaning the land of paddy fields. This place is a scenic plateau located at a height between 700 metres and 2100 metres above the sea level, settled among the mountains of the Western Ghats on the Eastern area of North Kerala and on the sides of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka States. Banasura Sagar Dam, biggest earth dam of India and the second largest of Asia, Pazhassi Raja Tomb and the Pazhassi Raja museum at Mananthavady are the prominent destinations of Wayanad for going on a honeymoon trip. Another exciting and a must visit place is Kuruvadweep, a series of small islands situated on the Kabini river.
Day 1 – Munnar
After arriving at the Cochin international airport, you will be greeted by our staff and then will head towards Munnar to witness the sprawling tea gardens and exciting little hills along the Western Ghats. The drive is about 130 km and takes up to 4 hours which also includes a halt at Cheeyappara waterfalls. The less populated Munnar is abundantly covered with Tata Tea plantations. Proceed towards the hotel and enjoy a delectable dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 – Munnar
Have delicious breakfast and then proceed for the sightseeing tour which starts with trips to Mattupetty, tea museum, Echo Point and Pothamedu, along with the option of a pleasant boat ride in the serene lake. After the sightseeing excursion, head back to hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3 – Thekkady
Check-out from the hotel after having breakfast and continue your honeymoon with a morning drive through the Cardamom hills to Thekkady, which is about 110 km and takes up to 3.5 hours to reach. After lunch, you’ll be taken to witness the spice plantations of cardamom and pepper as well as coffee and tea estates. Later in the evening, you can also shop for exotic and fragrant spices while returning to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 – Thekkady – Alleppey
After having breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Alleppey, also known as the “Venice of the east”. Alleppey is quite famous for its blackwater and houseboat. Check into a houseboat once you reach Alleppey and spend the rest of your day lazing around in the Houseboat while enjoying the picturesque views. Enjoy Dinner and comfortable overnight stay at houseboat only.
If you want to stay at hotel, you can start the tour in Alleppey by visiting Mullakkal Raja Rajeshwari Temple and take a short boat cruise through the back waters. Later in the evening, you can visit the Alappuzha beach and enjoy the sunset before heading back to hotel.
Day 5 – Alleppey- Kovalam
Have breakfast before starting your drive towards Kovalam. After arriving at Kovalam, check-in to a hotel. Then you will be visiting light house beach and Hawa Beach to observe the beauty of these beaches which is adorned by the stack of palm grooves which reward a unique elegance to this place. Head back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 – Back home
After breakfast, the cab service will take you to the airport from where you can take a flight back to home with replenished senses and an ever-strong bonding with your loved ones along with the enticing memories of this mesmerising memories.
