DAY 1 – The adoring beauty of the capital of India is a city of splendid tourist attractions and destinations. Start with the symbol of Indian republic; the bouldering monument of Red Fort illustrating the era of Mughal rule in the country. The magnificent beauty was built in 1638 and is a site for national occasions. Next visit bewitching beauty of Humayun’s Tomb built by the widow of Humayun; Queen Haji Begum. It is said that the concept of construction of Taj Mahal bears a resemblance to the tomb. The area has a lot of great restaurants around where you can sooth your taste buds also.
DAY 2 – Get a view of the India Gate under starry night skies. Built as a war memorial for the soldiers killed in the First World War and the Afghan War; the gate consists of the names of all the soldiers inscribed on its strong hold walls. It was earlier referred to as the All India War Memorial; the monument is a total bliss in early mornings. Next visit the official home to the President of the country; the Rashtrapati Bhawan designed by the famous architect Edwin Lutyens during erstwhile times as the residence of the viceroy of India. Visit the Sarojini market for some great shopping of clothes, jewelry and artifacts.
DAY 3 – Get an early start for the day with some religious sessions at the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and indulge in some langar service or meal. Next go for a historical expedition to the Safdarjung’s tomb; one of the last Mughal monuments to be constructed. Offering a memorial to the Father of the Nation at Raj Ghat is the next destination. The memorial is for Mahatma Gandhi surrounded by lush green lawns on all sides. Frolic around the marts of Chandini Chowk for some relishing shopping experience. The market is very famous for its food and local items.
DAY 4 – Get a flash of the amazing history of the Sultanate dynasty with the Tughlaqabad Fort said to be a breathtaking marvel. Also get some, old country feels with the Purana Qila with its massive and elegant grandeur. Graze the Nizzamudin Dargah for some spiritual bliss. End your day with the charisma and angelic appearance of the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple; one of the largest one of the largest Hindu Temple’s in the world. You can even go for boating and some light and music show in the temple.
DAY 5 – Next visit the luring height of Qutab Minar built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak known to be the tallest tower in India. The tower was built to commemorate the victory of the Mughal reign in the country. You can even visit the first ever mosque in the country; the Quwwat ul Islam Mosque. Next visit the marvelous grandeur of the Mughal architecture built under the reigns of Shah Jahan, the country’s largest mosque of Jama Masjid. Last spot for the day is the charming sparkle of the Lotus Temple having its resemblance to the lotus flower pertaining to the four religions.
