surrounded by mountains and nature in the beautiful North Eastern State of India that’s Sikkim. From Gangtok to Lachen and Lachung, it’s a fine blend of culture, spirituality and modernity. When you reach Gangtok, it seems as if you have got the boot camp of adventures that will be a part of the trip to the places in the store ahead. The monasteries and temples in Gangtok also talk about the spiritual and ancient cultures that are still intact, while the marketplace like M.G. Marg has all you would get attracted to as a youth.
Lachen’s major attraction is the Seven Sister’s fall that will make you believe in the creation’s beauty and how perfect nature can look. Lachung, on the other hand, is a paradise of flowers and flourished villages. The mixture of Tibetian and Nepali cultures in these places offer a wide variety of handicrafts and food that you will never get on the planes.
Thus your 6 nights/ 7 days tour in this place is worth it as you will get to explore areas that are less visited and not much known to people. Moreover, you will get to see the real Sikkim from the local people’s perspective as well.
Once you meet our executive in NJP station or Bagdogra airport, you will be transferred to Gangtok in an A/C car.
This day, we have planned to take you to Tsomgo Lake (departure at 09:00 to 09:30 AM hrs)
– situated at the height of 3,780 mts. With an average depth of 50 ft and then to Baba Mandir made in the memory of Harbhajan Singh, a sepoy in the Indian army.
After returning to Gangtok, you can enjoy your evening around the local people and in the Gangtok market.
That night you will be staying in the hotel in Gangtok.
The next day we begin early as we transfer you to Lachen (8800ft), and on your way, you see places like Chungthang (40Kms), which is a beautiful place where you get a clearer view of the Himalayan range. Kanchenjunga National park and Green Lake are other sightseeing points that will drive Gangtok to Lachen.
Stay in the hotel in Lachen overnight.
after breakfast, we will take you to visit Gurudongmar Lake. and after that will drive to Lachung (126kms, 8610ft)
The route that we take for Lachung will have some of the places that are ideal for sightseeing which are:
Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungtsok (historical site), Naga Waterfalls, Confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang, Bhim Nala Waterfall and Holy Rock at Chungthang.
You can have lunch at Phodong/Mangan.
Its an overnight stay at Lachung.
Yumthang-Valley is the most famous as a Valley of variety of Rhododendron, so that’s the first on our list the next day.
Yumthangin summer is famous for yaks & winter playgrounds of yetis.
You visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties on your way back.
Post lunch, you can rest in the resort.
Post breakfast, we drive you to Gangtok. In the afternoon, you will be going out sightseeing to places like Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Your trip ends here, so morning is kept free for packing, and then we drop you back to either NJP/ IXB.
